Ritesh Uttamchandani is a Bombay based photographer. He started his career at the Indian Express in 2004, before working with the Hindustan Times and OPEN Magazine. Since 2015 he has been a freelance photographer and recently published his debut photobook, The Red Cat and other Stories. His personal work is currently centred around the magic in the mundane, in tongue in cheek moments that are lost if one blinks too long.
The Red Cat and other Stories is a deeply personal exploration of Bombay, shot with an iPhone, through the prism of a Sindhi fable about the unusual friendship between a young man and a red cat.
