The Storytellers
The Storytellers is a collective that has a common passion for storytelling. They have been growing as a storytelling troupe since 2013 and can be found on YouTube, Facebook and Instagram.
They do monthly events at Gyan Adab and Raah on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of every month, storytelling in cafes and pubs (Jonky’s, High Spirits, Cafe Pondi, The Flour Works, The Fat Labrador etc) in colleges (St. Mira’s, ELTIS, IISER, Pune University etc), housing societies, private homes and practically anywhere that anyone is willing to gather an attentive audience.
Once a year, they do a storytelling performance. The most recent offering was Chouboli, a Marwari folk tale which has some very progressive takes on gender, sexuality, relationships, caste and a whole range of that we face today.
They also record stories, by Indian authors, on the themes of sexuality, love and relationships for the letstalksexuality.com website for Tathapi, the organization that funds the website.
